How The Rest Of The Industry Reacted To Scoop’s Statement On Established Rappers Needing To Take A Break! Scoop has always been regarded as an SA hip hop expert and someone whose opinion most rappers respect.
His recent remarks on how SA Hip Hop should move forward at least for the next year has however not been received well. During his POPcast show, Scoop told his co-hosts that the veteran rappers which include AKA, Cassper and Kwesta need to take a year long break from releasing music so that the young rappers can have the opportunity.
AKA, Kwesta and Cassper all spoke out on being called out by Scoop expressing how they did not agree with him. Now more people in the SA Hip Hop industry are airing their views on Scoop‘s statement.

😂😂😂 brother Nkabinde.
I have brother, I’ve spoken about it that it’s not where I’m at anymore personally and yes the game needs a change and us (myself included) need to evolve. True? https://t.co/Xyrvlc32si— #DustDJ #RIPGIFT🇿🇦 (@DJVigilanteSA) July 9, 2020
Theres so much I wanna say to this. 😢 trash trash trash 🗑 Nditouched shame.
First we need to respect music as a profession. It is a livelihood. Rather say you dont like peoples music qha. https://t.co/hX7yMtWXcc— #POWER – OUT NOW (@AmandaBlackSA) July 9, 2020
How about Scoop stop working for a year so that someone who is unemployed can get his spot. 🤷🏾♂️😇
By his logic, he has been working long enough. It’s time to give someone a chance to make a living.
